Board of the Federal Service for accreditation

Board of the Federal Service for accreditation (hereinafter – the Board) was formed by the Federal Service for accreditation Order No. 1282 dated March 22, 2013 (hereinafter – Order No. 1282). Order No. 1282 also approves the Regulations on the Board.

The Board is a standing advisory body under the Head of the Federal Service for accreditation.

The main objective of the Board is to review and elaborate joint decisions on the most important issues, aimed at fulfillment of objectives on the implementation of state policy in the sphere of accreditation, entrusted to the Federal Service for accreditation. 

The Board shall consider and make decisions at its meetings on the following issues:

  • draft federal laws, laws and regulations of the President of the Russian Federation, Government of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, regulating the accreditation issues;
  • status and development of a unified national system of accreditation;
  • cooperation of the Federal Service for accreditation and other federal executive bodies, regulatory bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on accreditation and assessment (attestation) issues, in order to improve the safety and quality of products, works (services);
  • results of monitoring of activities of accredited persons;
  • results of activity of Departments of the Federal Service for accreditation and territorial bodies of the Federal Service for accreditation;
  • improvement of human resources policy;
  • participation of the Federal Service for accreditation in the work of international organizations on accreditation;
  • regulations for preparation and holding of meetings of the Board;
  • draft work plan of the Board for the relevant period.

The Board shall consist of:

  • Head of the Federal Service for accreditation;
  • Deputy Head of the Federal Service for accreditation;
  • Heads of Departments of the Federal Service for accreditation;
  • Heads of territorial bodies of the Federal Service for accreditation;
  • Persons appointed by the Head of the Federal Service for accreditation.

Chairman of the Board is the Head of the Federal Service for accreditation.

In order to provide organizational support of the Board activity when approving the personnel of the Board from among the members of the Board – employees of the central body of the Federal Service for accreditation, the Secretary of the Board shall be appointed.
