Russian delegation under the direction of the Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Alexey Khersontsev participated in the 32-nd Meeting of OECD Working Group on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). The delegation included the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and RusAccreditation.
The Working Group Meeting considered the crucial issues on training assessors conducting audits of national programs for conformity assessment with the GLP principles of the OECD (hereinafter referred to as the National program) and discussed audit reports of Slovenia and Estonia programs. The Working Group noted that the OECD meets the requirements of the National Program of Estonia that makes it possible to recognize test results obtained in GLP testing laboratories in Estonia, in OECD countries and parties to the Agreement on Mutual Acceptance of Data (MAD), in case of the respective committee decision.

The meeting summarized the results of the 13th OECD training courses for inspectors on good laboratory practice, which took place in Krakow, Poland, in October 2017. Two Russian representatives took part in these courses. The next OECD training course is to be held at the National accreditation body SANAS in South Africa in 2019.
At the end of the meeting, changes in the leadership of the secretariat of the working group were announced. The representative of Switzerland Christophe Moore succeeded the Japan representative Hitoshi Somei as the chairman of the secretariat.
The Russian delegation also held discussions with representatives of the OECD secretariat on the implementation of the OECD technical support project for the development of the Russian Federation GLP system, scheduled for 2018-2019.
