The Federal Service for Accreditation is a government executive agency; it acts as Russian national accreditation body. It is rather young establishment: its appearance is associated with the reform of technical regulation that started early in the 21st century. Over the six years of its existence, the Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation) has become a powerful state mechanism of performance assessment of accredited organizations.
The editor-in-chief of the Standards and Quality magazine G.P. VORONIN holds discourse with the Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation S.V. MIGIN about the main results of the Federal Service's activities related to the end of transition period of validity of the Federal Law "On Accreditation in the National Accreditation System" No. 412-FZ of December 28, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as FZ No. 412), about specifics of product certification and management systems, and about the Department's plans for the nearest future.
