This was told to the “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” by the RusAccreditation Head Alexey Khersontsev, following the results of the first working meeting of the EAEC countries accreditation bodies heads and representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
“We agreed to form a special structure within the EAEC, which would be more responsive to the practice of accreditation bodies activities and, taking it into account, correct the rules for issuing certificates contained in the technical regulations”, - Alexey Khersontsev said.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, a subcommittee on accreditation will be established under it.
Moreover, the RusAccreditation supported the EEC initiative to criteria for the inclusion of accredited persons in the Union registries. The participants also agreed to improve the certificate forms regarding information entering clearly demonstrating the observance by the authority of necessary conformity assessment procedures.
Certificates are issued mainly for imported products, and suppliers interested in a fast registration of necessary papers for import, often actually buy certificates and does not conduct laboratory tests, which should confirm the safety of the consignment. The mechanism of withdrawal of products with unreliable certificates issued in Belarus or Kazakhstan is cumbersome and complex.
