In order to support the export of industrial products from Russia, the Federal Service for accreditation (RusAccreditation) intends to achieve recognition of Russian accreditation procedures by the states - trading partners.
On Friday at the International Investment Forum “Sochi-2016”, the RusAccreditation Head Khersontsev Alexey and General Director of the Russian export center (REC) Petr Fradkov signed a Cooperation Agreement, which defines a specific program of action of the two organizations in order to overcome technical barriers in foreign trade.
For recognition of the results of the Russian assessment of conformity of the Russian Federation by the states - trading partners, it is necessary to achieve entry into international clubs of Accreditation - International Organization for Laboratory Accreditation (ILAC), an associate member of which the RusAccreditation is from 2013, and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), A. Khersontsev said at the ceremony.
“Currently, negotiations are underway about how to obtain full membership in these organizations, which confirms that our accreditation procedures are equivalent, i.e. Russian conformity assessment bodies can be trusted as well as certification bodies and testing laboratories of our trading partners”, - he said.
RusAccreditation work on entering these international organizations should also be accompanied by a dialogue of agencies governing the circulation of products, the first step in this direction - the definition of the range of export products with high added value, and the countries that are a priority trading partners, A. Khersontsev said.
For its part, the Russian export center is working on the support of the certification of domestic products in foreign markets.
The RusAccreditation and REC, according to the signed document, will coordinate actions to support and develop the export of Russian products, the elimination of technical barriers in foreign trade.
The Russian export center is a state export support institution established in 2015 with the support of the Russian government. The Center provides Russian exporters with financial and non-financial support.
As of 15 September, RusAccreditation registers contain over 1.7 million records of issued certificates of conformity and 2.9 million records of registered declarations of conformity of products with mandatory requirements.
