Representatives of RusAccreditation and NIAR take part in the 45th meeting of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Accreditation of EASC

On July 16, the 45th meeting of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Accreditation (STCA) of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) was held in the format of a videoconference. Representatives of national accreditation bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Russian Federation, the Bureau for Standards of EASC, the CIS Executive Committee took part in the work of STCA. The Russian delegation also included representatives of the National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation (NIAR).

Among the key topics on the agenda of the meeting was the discussion of issues of practical development of regional cooperation in the field of accreditation. The parties agreed to hold a working meeting in September 2020 to complete the coordination at the expert level of the draft Charter of the Regional Organization for Accreditation in Eurasia, the creation of which was being elaborated on various platforms. The representative of the CIS Executive Committee spoke about the progress of the domestic coordination of the draft Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies.
