The implementation of the pilot project of RusAccreditation about adding certificates and declarations information to product cards on marketplaces was discussed on April 27, 2021 at the press conference " RusAccreditation and Marketplaces: a new service for confirming the safety of goods when buying online." In July-August 2021, it is planned to receive the first results of the project - information about certificates and declarations will be added to the cards of pilot product groups on marketplaces.
RusAccreditation has signed agreements on cooperation on the identification of goods with the largest online retailers Wildberries and METRO Cash&Carry. Both companies have entered into a pilot project of RusAccreditation to create a service that will automatically add information about the availability of valid certificates or declarations of conformity to the product card which is presented at the sites. The project is being implemented to increase the availability of information about the safety of goods, to prevent and prevent illegal turnover of products. Earlier, similar agreements were signed with the Ozon online store, a wholesale online trading platform Supl.biz and the Orlan System marketplace of construction materials.
According to the Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation, Nazariy Skrypnik, 90% of goods must be checked for compliance with safety requirements. The results of 2020 showed that more and more purchases are made on the Internet – the volume of online trade increased by 60. At the end of 2020, RusAccreditation began to build an exchange of information between the departmental information system and marketplaces.
The participants of the press conference noted that the implementation of the project will not affect the price of goods in online stores. At the same time, according to the Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation, the value of the product will significantly increase.
