RusAccreditation informed the international community about the main events of the national accreditation system in the Russian Federation during the second half of 2020.

At the end of 2020, a number of rounds of qualification verification for different types of food products, animal feed, mineral fertilizers, cable products were launched in Russia, in which foreign laboratories, for example, from the Republic of Serbia, also took part.
The VII All-Russian Congress of Accreditation Experts, organized by the Federal Accreditation Service and the National Institute of Accreditation of RusAccreditation (NIAR), was held in Moscow. This year, due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the event was held in an online format for the first time. The Congress was attended by about 400 participants, including more than 200 accreditation experts. Before the opening of the congress the participants were addressed by the chairman of the APAC Committee on competence Improvement, Brahim Houla. Representatives of accreditation authorities of India, China, the USA, Moldova, and Serbia acted as speakers at the Congress.
The All-Russian Forum of Accredited Persons was held – the main annual event of the national accreditation system. The event was held by the Federal Accreditation Service together with the NIAR. During the Forum, the issues of digital transformation of the national accreditation system and the development of the economy of trust, normative regulation in the field of conformity assessment and accreditation, international recognition of the results of conformity assessment and the creation of barrier-free trade in the pandemic conditions of the COVID – 19 were discussed. The Forum was held for the first time in an online format. More than 10 thousand people from all regions of the country remotely participated in the Forum.
